Ed Gillum “Chance Encounters”, September 2013

“Chance Encounters” RE-IF-EYE-ING-ABSTRACTION is the title of Ed Gillumʼs sculpture presentation at 1821 Gallery. Edʼs challenge to us is to ponder the question “what if, reflecting on those blissful moments of brilliant intuitive adventure. All the pieces for this show were created in 2013, and are made of stainless steel and glass. Some of the pieces also have incorporated photo transparency elements. 1821 Gallery & Studios will be showcasing the work of artists Carolyn DeAnda and Michael T. Murphy during the month of May. DeAndaʼs exhibition titled “Retro Fresno-Remembering and Era” is an alternate media photography process utilizing digital composition and digital fine art pigment transfers to fine art papers, metals and other non-traditional substrates.
