Fresno Printmaker Guild & 1 Year Anniversary, April 2013

1821 Gallery & Studios celebrates it’s one year anniversary with this April’s ArtHop, and it’s doing it in a big way.  The gallery will be presenting over 40 pieces of fine printmaking by the members of The Printmakers Guild of Fresno.  The Guild was established in 1986 by a group of artists enrolled in Leon Osborne’s printmaking class at Fresno City College.  For over 25 years the Guild has presented it’s annual show in various venues, fulfilling the original intent to educate and exhibit.  The 13 artists showing work in... 1821 Gallery & Studios will host the of work by Bill Bruce during the month of December. The exhibition entitled, Are You Going With Me? opens for ArtHop on December 6 from 5-8 pm and runs through December 21. Are You Going With Me? explores an interconnected relationship between art and music. Robert Weibel Gunpowder Artist – October, 2012

“Gunpowder Artist Adds Color and Candlesoot”   Robert Weibel’s first solo exhibition since 2009 will include a public demonstration, color and candle soot. Weibel has been creating art by igniting gunpowder on paper since 2007. His work has been well received in juried competitions and private collections. This exhibition, New and Continuing Gunpowder Art, introduces color pastels and mark making from candle soot to his figurative images.
