I have been painting the California landscape professionally for the past ten years. As a fourth generation resident of the San Joaquin Valley I’ve made the California landscape; particularly the Central Valley, my life-long work.
After graduating from the University of New Mexico with a Bachelors of Fine Arts and I received Masters of Arts at Fresno State University where I’ve been an instructor of painting since 2005. I have had numerous solo and group showings and lectures throughout my short career; and was the first Artist in Residence at the Petrified National Monument in Arizona.
I have completed public murals and commissions and my work is in many permanent collections, including the Stone House Residency, Petrified National Forest Museum and two large scale paintings in the Federal Courthouse in Fresno.
“ I am dedicated to landscape painting of California and the West. In this land I find inspiration, content and spirituality. I believe the landscape, more than any other signifier reflects the soul of place by revealing the path of human impact upon its surface. It’s the process of discovering and revealing the layers of our environment that sparks my interest. “
