1821 is a Fresno art gallery and the studio space for Artists; Bibi Bielat, Frank Arnold, Jon Kapetan, Anne Whitehurst and Iron+Copper+Bronze.

Located in the heart of Fresno’s Cultural Arts District, 1821 Gallery & Studios features a range of original work, from painting and sculpture to works on paper and photography. The gallery is in the heart of a part of town also called the Mural Arts District due to the large amount of urban art on many of the downtown buildings. 1821 Gallery is a must stop on ArtHop for everyone visiting Fresno art galleries.

Established in the spring of 2012, the gallery was constructed using primarily re-purposed materials within a re-imagined industrial building originally built in 1947. While keeping true to the character of the structure, founder and owner Bruce Kalkowski transformed the space into an immaculate commercial gallery flanked by four working studios and a side gallery featuring works for sale by artists who have previously shown in the gallery. His dream was to create a space for Fresno artists to create and exhibit their work and build one of the finest Fresno art galleries.

The Gallery cultivates an atmosphere of excellence and provides an exceptional art collecting experience for its clients.
