Adam Longatti Returns to 1821

Adam Longatti returns to 1821 Gallery & Studios for a solo exhibition of over 20 new works. The exhibition runs from November 11th thru December 18th. A reception for Longatti’s latest show will be held November 13th from 4PM until 8PM. Art Hop for this show will be December 3rd.

Longatti’s paintings reflect the San Joaquin Valley’s richly textured landscape and environment. This body of work is a collection of plein air paintings gleaned from a small radius of Fresno. Each is a product of his physical experience in the field.

Plein air painting is about narrowing the expansive view into a framed composition and building values of light and dark from it. “It is simply decision making. You try something in paint. It either works or does not. You judge how you feel about it instantly, and you change and adapt to that feeling”, Longatti said. Clearly this show is an example of Logatti’s gift to adapt and execute.

1821 Gallery looks forward to the opportunity to share this local artist’s gifts with you.
